# Advanced filters

> Narrow your Candidate list by stars, scores, dates, tags, and question scores.

Advanced filters help you focus on the Candidates who best match what you need. You can combine several filters at once.

## Open the filters

1. Open an Interviewer and go to the **Applicants** tab.
2. Click the filter button above the Candidate list. The **Refine results** panel opens.
3. Set the filters you want, then click **Apply filters**.

To start over, click **Clear all**.

## Available filters

* **Starred candidates**: Show only Candidates your team gave a star rating.
* **Score range**: Show Candidates whose score falls between a minimum and maximum, from 0 to 100.
* **Completed date**: Show Candidates who finished the interview between two dates.
* **Tag filters**: Match a tag saved on the Interviewer with the value a Candidate gave. This section appears only when the Interviewer has tags. You can add more than one tag rule. A Candidate must match every rule to appear.
* **Custom question rules**: Pick a custom question and set a minimum score from 0 to 5. You can add a rule for more than one question. A Candidate must meet every rule to appear.

<Tip>
  Use custom question rules for your must-have skills. For example, set a minimum score of 4 on your most important technical question to see only the strongest answers.
</Tip>

## How question rules change sorting

When you apply at least one custom question rule, the list is sorted by **Custom Question Score**, highest first. You can pick a different sort order at any time.
