You can invite people to a published role play directly, or add Candidates from an Interviewer’s Candidate list. Each person gets a unique link and one attempt.

Invite Candidates directly

  1. Click Role Plays in the sidebar and open a published role play.
  2. Click Invite, or open the Candidates tab and click Invite candidates.
  3. Choose how to add people:
    • Add manually: enter a Name and Email for each person. Click Add another for more rows, up to 50.
    • Upload CSV: choose a CSV file with a name column and an email column. You can upload up to 500 rows. The rows appear in a preview, and any problems are shown next to each row.
  4. Check Link expiry (days). It starts at the role play’s link expiry setting and can be from 1 to 30 days.
  5. Click Send invites. The button shows how many invites will be sent, for example Send 3 invites.
The dialog then shows how many invites were sent, and lists anyone who wasn’t invited with the reason. For example, a person who was already invited to this role play can’t be invited again. Click Invite more or Done.
You can invite Candidates only after the role play is published.

Add Candidates from an Interviewer

  1. Open an Interviewer and go to its Candidate list.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • For one Candidate, open the row menu and click Add to role play.
    • For several Candidates, select them, open the bulk actions menu, and click Add to role play.
  3. In Role play, choose a published role play.
  4. Click Send invites.
Each Candidate gets an email with a unique link. Their stage changes to Shortlisted for Role Play. Candidates who were already invited to that role play are skipped, and you see a message with the reason. Results appear on the role play and in the Candidate’s report, on the Role Play tab. If a Candidate took more than one role play, choose which one to view from the Role play menu on that tab.

What the Candidate experiences

  1. The Candidate opens the link from their email.
  2. The join page shows the role play title, their brief (Your role, Situation, and Objective), any reference materials and tips, and what they’ll be assessed on, if you chose to show it.
  3. It also lists key facts: the call length, that it’s a live voice call, that they get one attempt, the language, and whether a camera or a laptop is required.
  4. Under Check your setup, it reminds them that a stable internet connection and a working microphone are required.
  5. The Candidate clicks Join role play. The call opens in a new tab and starts straight away. Their brief stays on screen during the call.
  6. The call ends when the time limit is reached, or when one of the role play’s end conditions happens, such as the objective being reached.
A Candidate can also opt out from the join page before they join. If Desktop only is on, the Candidate can’t join from a phone. If the link has expired, been revoked, or already been used, the join page tells them so.

Track sessions

Open the role play and click the Candidates tab. The table shows everyone invited, directly or from an Interviewer: Filter by status, or sort by Newest invite, Oldest invite, Highest score, Lowest score, or Recently completed.

Session statuses

Row actions

Open the menu on a row to:
  • View report: open the session report.
  • Resend invite: send the invite again with the same link. Available while the invite is waiting and hasn’t expired.
  • Revoke: stop the link from working. Because each person gets one attempt, you can’t invite them to this role play again.

Read the report

Click a row, or choose View report, to open the Role play report. Results usually appear a few minutes after the call ends. The top of the report shows:
  • The session status and the score out of 100.
  • The AI recommendation, such as Strong yes, Yes, Leaning yes, Neutral, or No.
  • Whether the objective was achieved, partially achieved, or not achieved.
  • The call duration, and when the Candidate was invited and completed it.
Below that you find:
  • Summary: an overview of the call, the reasoning behind the objective result, and lists of Strengths, Gaps, Red flags, and Notes for the human interviewer.
  • Criteria: a card for each criterion with its score, the reasoning, and evidence from the conversation. Must-pass criteria scored 2 or lower are flagged. If a recording is available, you can jump to the moment the evidence comes from.
  • Hidden facts uncovered: which hidden facts the Candidate managed to uncover.
  • Recording & transcript: the call recording and the full transcript, when available.

Retry or regrade

  • If a session shows Grading failed, click Retry to score the session again.
  • On a completed session, click Regrade to score the session again with the role play’s current criteria. The Candidate doesn’t retake anything, and the previous result is kept in the history.
You’re charged for a session only once, even if you retry or regrade it.
