While InterviewFlowAI uses AI to conduct intelligent and adaptive interviews, some candidates may attempt to cheat using external tools or assistance to improve their performance. Common tactics include:
  • Using multiple screens.
  • Consulting mobile devices.
  • Receiving off-screen help.
  • Leveraging AI companions like ChatGPT, Copilot, or others to generate answers.
To maintain interview integrity, you can enable Proctoring — a feature that allows you to monitor candidate behavior and detect suspicious activity during the interview.

How proctoring works

Proctoring can be enabled per interviewer. The system tracks multiple metrics and deducts points based on your configured penalties.

Tab switching

Detects when a candidate navigates away from the interview tab.
  • Points to deduct per tab switch: Specify the penalty for each occurrence.
  • Max points to deduct: Cap the total penalty (out of 100).

Eye and face detection

Ensures the candidate is physically present and looking at the screen.
  • Minimum center percentage per question: The acceptable threshold for the candidate’s screen focus.
  • Points to deduct per question on violation: Penalty applied if they fail the threshold.
  • Max points to deduct: Cap the total penalty (out of 100).

Answer authenticity

Analyzes responses for signs of AI-generated content or external help.
  • Points to deduct per question on violation: Penalty applied when inauthentic patterns are detected.
  • Max points to deduct: Cap the total penalty (out of 100).
